one more thing

i made a blog! thought i needed one more thing to do with all my free time - yeah right! i really think it could be a good outlet for me - journaling my thoughts on a somewhat daily basis. also thought it would be a great way to share pics and videos of mattie. so, here goes!

mattie and i are at mom and dad kauffman's house this weekend. we made the trip, just the two of us...and it went great, thanks to our new portable DVD player. mattie was entranced by baby einstein. :)

glenn's back in NW ohio doing the bachelor thing for a few days. he was excited to participate in the WIPT (wyse invitational poker tournament) this evening. ask him how it went! glenn is enjoying coaching cross-country again this year at stryker. both jv and varsity are having good seasons. kenny did awesome again at the edgerton invite this morning!

mattie is at such a fun age right now (15 months) - toddling everywhere, exploring and discovering how things work, moving things from place to place, learning how to speak! she has words for many of the things she does, eats or plays with on a regular basis - burp rag (her security object - wish we had called it something other than "burp rag"!), pacifier, milk/juice, cracker, cheese, blueberry/raspberry, spoon, ball, dog, kitty, up, etc. our favorite word she says right now is "outside". sounds more like "side", and is always accompanied by an arm outstretched to the door. :) so hard not to take her out every time she says it!

hey, this is fun! i could get used to this!
